I've always believed life's too short to stick to just one thing.
My room looks like a curiosity shop - bookshelves overflowing, an easel in the corner, a guitar by the window, and a surfboard under my bed that I haven't quite mastered yet.
Here are more things that make my heart sing:• Baking gingerbread cookies in bizarre shapes• "Learning" Italian (so far just "ciao" and "gelato")• Photographing puddles with sky mirrors• Reading aloud to my friend's (she snores by page three)
Every morning begins with the same delicious dilemma - what shall I do today? Some days it's watercolor sketches in the park, where I spy on pigeons and their funny poses. Other days find me at my favorite café doing writing sprints, making up stories about people at nearby tables.
My pride and joy is my sea glass collection. After storms, I comb the beach for these ocean-tumbled treasures, then turn them into jewelry. They come out a bit lopsided, but full of heart!
Evenings often find me with guitar in lap, trying to match chords to my poems. My neighbors probably hate these sessions, but when moonlight streams through my window, how can I resist?
